Dear Superintendent Wise,

Further to my letter of 30th December 2001, addressed to Inspector Llewellyn, I should be grateful if you would ensure that I receive a substantive reply by return. I have now been waiting more than two weeks for the information requested on 30th December.

I am sure you will agree that the content of Inspector Llewellyn's letter of the 20th December 2001 gives little credence to the police complaints procedure's aim to provide "independent and impartial investigations into the conduct of police officers". It is also difficult to imagine that this level of service accords with your Constabularie's mission statement to make "Gwent the safest place in the U.K. to live, work and visit".

I look forward to your attention in this matter.
